Nitrogen Filled Heating Vessel
Nitrogen improves the vessel’s life span by reducing corrosion inside the vessel, and prevents loss of pre-charge pressure. Nitrogen permeates through rubber slower than oxygen, and is far less reactive to both steel and aluminium creating fewer debris inside the vessel. Nitrogen does not degrade rubber prolonging the membrane life.
From an installers viewpoint, therefore, there is no requirement to be registered or to notify any authority when fitting a sealed primary heating system. The ease of installation of a sealed system makes it particularly attractive to the installer, eliminating the feed and expansion tank and associated pipework, and thus reducing the risk of corrosion and noise in the system.
