Polypipe 15mm Double Heat Spreader Plate 5 Pack for suspended underfloor

For installation in timber suspended or battened floors, the Polypipe
suspended floor system uses double heat spreader plates to evenly heat the
floor surface of a room. Spreader plates are fixed using small nails or
staples. Flexible heating pipe is then run into the preformed grooves of the
panels that hold the pipe at set centers.
Installing a layer of insulation under the panels will ensure that the
heat generated passes up into the room.
Before installing a suspended floor system insulate between the joists. A
rigid polystyrene or foam insulation material is recommended.

The insulation layer should fit tightly between the joists directly below the spreader plate. This ensures the spreader plate is supported and remains in contact with the underside of timber floor covering. This eliminates any air gaps orbetween the heating system and the floor
